Subjects: Storage, Citrus fruits, Transportation
Description: This is a report on more than 600 citrus shipping tests from Florida over a period of three shipping seasons beginning in 1948. It presents a comparison of load-temperatures obtained during transit by commonly-used protective services grouped by shipping periods, and the effect of such temperatures on the keeping qualities of the fruits during the transit period and for a week after it reached market.
