Women all over have collections and make clothes, houses, etc. You can find a hitty on the internet by googling for her. I love this book and have 3 of the Hitty dolls. Your daughter would love this book and so would you. It is one that will never grow out of date. You can find the origional Hitty in a museum on display......the information is on the internet.
