Heidi Best started riding at the age of eight and competed regularly and successfully on her thoroughbred mare, Moondancer. She was editor, in the UK, of leading title PONY magazine, and its sister publication, Light Horse, instructed regularly at riding club and Mendip Farmers' Pony Club and now works as a freelance writer and editor.
