Description: The Pro-Cathedral was St. Peter's Catholic Church, whose cemetery operated 1791-1815, and the cathedral, dedicated in 1821, is known as Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary; burials in the Pro-Cathedral cemetery were transferred to the Cathedral Cemetery in 1815; burials in the Cathedral Cemetery were transferred to the New Cathedral Cemetery 1874-1887; neither cemetery exists now.
