Description: Laura Taylor has dreamt of being a writer all her life, more specifically a screen writer. It’s what led her from Michigan to Los Angeles where she’s tried for years to make her dream come true. Now, after all that time spent in crappy jobs, making the connections and writing her heart out she thinks she’s got it made. When her agent disappears, without getting her the deal he’d promised (according to the rumors he’s either drying out at a rehab in North Dakota or has joined the Peace Corps in South Africa), Laura’s left with no money, no deals, no prospects …but lots of debt. Things seem to turn around when her mechanic offers to show her script to his connection (this is L.A. after all). The only problem is that his connection happens to be in the porn movie biz (this is L.A. after all!). Before she knows it Laura has committed herself to write an “adult film”. No one has to know, it’ll help pay her bills and it’ll be under a pseudonym, she figures. All of a sudden, what Laura thought would be a one time thing is turning into a full fledged career, complete with all the awards, adulation and respect she dreamed about getting in Hollywood. Laura finds herself leading a double life, pitching her legitimate screenplay in one part of town and playing the belle of the ball in another. But what happens when her two worlds collide? Her porn writing could brand her mainstream career with a permanent X if anyone finds out. And this being Hollywood, secrets never stay secret for long.
