The first book of Oregon jazz, rock, and all sorts of music

The first book of Oregon jazz, rock, and all sorts of music

By Carolan Gladden

Subjects: Portland, Music, Bands, Clubs, Musicians, music scene, History and criticism

Description: From the author: This was a compendium of clubs and musicians in Oregon, which meant primarily the burgeoning music scene of 1981 Portland. It included 150 local musicians plus several nationals/internationals who were performing at the first Mt. Hood Jazz Festival, for which release of the book was timed. The author actually received more acclaim from the stars than the locals. And she is still angry that she lost her copyright to a flaky publisher.
