The year of the jeep
By Keith Robertson
Subjects: Automobiles, Fiction
Description: By taking gardening jobs, catching bats and thieves, diving for bricks in a swimming pool, and inciting the interest of some helpful friends, a young boy makes his daydream of owning a jeep come true. Robertson was arguably the best US writer of boy's books in the last part of the 20th century, and this is perhaps his best book. The characters are interesting, the plot is original, and daydreamers will find it a great read.
