Description: This is a review and tips book for Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) games. This book re-uses, much of the material found in the first book in this series "Mastering Nintendo Video Games" ISBN: 0672484641. There are 25 games reviewed "In-Depth Closeups", 9 of which are word for word re-used from the first book. There is a section for the games "Story", information about the "Main Characters", and tips for various levels of the game, "Power Tips" indicated by a icon of a hand holding lightening bolt, as well as a four point rating system of the games "Overall Rating", "Challenge", "Sound and Graphics". There are no screenshots but for the game "Tetris", there are two illustrations. There are 94 tips in the "Turbo Tips" section with some games having two-four tips per game, and many of these tips also appearing in the first book. The last part of the book has "Mini Tips and Game Summaries", for 29 games, 18 of which were from the first book. There are three games in the "Turbo Tip" section that are for MS-DOS computer and not the NES, these are "Hacker 2", "Labyrinth", and "Prophecy". This book was followed by two more in this series, "Tricks of the Nintendo Masters" ISBN: 067248482X, "Beyond the Nintendo Masters" ISBN: 0672485036.
