Description: This is a review and tips book for Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) games. There are 25 games reviewed "In-Depth Closeups" a section for the games "Story", information about the "Main Characters", and tips for various levels of the game, "Power Tips" indicated by a icon of a hand holding lightening bolt, as well as a four point rating system of the games "Overall Rating", "Challenge", "Sound and Graphics". For the games 'Kid Icarus', and 'Super Mario Bros.', there are illustrations of the games screen, and for the game 'Deadly Towers' there are a series of square graph type maps. There are 64 tips in the "Turbo Tips" section with some games having two-four tips per game. The last part of the book has "Mini Tips and Game Summaries", for 27 games. There are three games in the "Turbo Tip" section that are for MS-DOS computer and not the NES, these are "Hacker 2", "Labyrinth", and "Prophecy". This book has two known printings, the "First Printing" has pink title and authors on the front cover, while the "Second Printing" has white type and the author names aren't present, and the back cover has a white box around the UPC code, both printings have the same ISBN number. This book was followed by three more in this series, "Mastering Nintendo Video Games II" ISBN: 0672484919, "Tricks of the Nintendo Masters" ISBN: 067248482X, "Beyond the Nintendo Masters" ISBN: 0672485036.
