Description: How To Use This Book Dear Reader, This is a how-to-do-it hand book for the Nikonos V, and IV-A cameras, and both TTL and manual strobes. Don't try to read this book from cover to cover. Rather, read selectively as described below: 1. Begin by scanning the table of contents. Locate those sections that apply to the equipment you have, and the kind of U/W photography you wish to do. 2. Mark these important sections, in the table of contents, with a colored see-through marker. 3. Then, read only the sections marked—use the marker to highlight the information you need within the sections- Have the equipment nearby that you are reading about so that you can physically go through the steps described. Cover the answers to the "Testing Your Understanding" while you determine the solution. If it involves viewfinder readings, try to aim your camera at a scene that simulates the problem. 4. If you need additional information, use the appendix sections. Again, mark only the information that applies to you. 5. As you decide to buy more equipment, read and mark the additional sections. We have omitted much of the information already provided in the owner's manuals of the equipment discussed. Rather than subject you to needless duplication, this book takes you beyond the manuals. It gives you stop-by- step procedures for using your equipment to its fullest advantage. We have enjoyed writing this book, and sincerely hope that you will enjoy using it. Our best wishes, Jim and Cathy Church
