Description: This book is organized into six sections, each containing four or five interrelated assemblies, which deal with issues on a related theme. The first section deals with the Created world and our responsibilities to care for it. The second set of assemblies are about the way we make and keep friends; something that very young children often find difficult to do. The third is about feelings and how to handle the way we feel when things are fine and when things go wrong. The fourth is linked to raising self-esteem by considering the fact that we are all special, that we have our own special qualities, and that everyone's contribution is important and valuable. The final two sections of assemblies deal with the important issues of working together and getting along. The need to consider the feelings of others and to develop empathy is stressed in these chapters. Multi-faith links are also made and these should be considered in light of your school's context.
