Description: In Texas in the 1840's, young Sul Ross runs away from home and, joining up with his friend Sergeant Hanse Mason, visits a friendly Comanche village, rescues ferry passenger from a flood, and is invited to run the ferry and study with the school teacher widow of the former ferry owner.
