Description: "Bringing together a careful selection of works from the Orientalist Painting Collection of the Suna and Inan Kıraç Foundation, the "Intersecting Worlds: Ambassadors and Painters" exhibition at the Pera Museum sheds light on Ottoman-European relations with paintings from the 17th to the 19th centuries. The paintings in the exhibition constitute interesting and select examples of the art of oreintalist painting which focus on Ottoman subject matter. Another aspect of these works is that they are also highly valuable visual documents on the diplomatic relations, figures, and life of the period."--Page 7.
