Description: An omnibus of three novels. These are stories of SFC Kyle Monroe, an Army Ranger sniper who shoots with the best of them, but is haunted by a previous botched mission that cost the highest price. Now, he's looking to make up for it in some of the most dangerous spots in the world. In the first story, Monroe is dispatched to jihad central - namely, the mountains of Pakistan - where he's tasked with eliminating a terrorist before he can launch a catastrophic attack on Western targets. Later, in the second tale, Monroe and his partner, Wade Curtis, find themselves looking for five needles in the haystack of a crowded Romanian city. If the terrorists aren't located and shot, countless innocents will suffer. Finally Monroe and Curtis head to the jungles of Indonesia - acting on intelligence that some al-Queda sympathizers are planning to blow an oil-rich province to the moon - along with hundreds of people, many of them Americans. The weight of the world is on the shoulders of Monroe, and although, he may be a fictional character, he's all too real.
