Description: Cuba, 1961. Everything is in flux since the revolutionary government under Fidel Castro took control. People are either strongly for the Revolution or strongly, even violently, against it. Cuban teen, Anita Fonseca, volunteers to live in the rural countryside to teach adults how to read and write. While bringing literacy to a family of Cuba's forgotten people, she overcomes many obstacles along the way, including her own fear when kidnapped by counter-revolutionaries.
