Stringed instruments
By M. J. Knight
Subjects: Juvenile literature, Stringed instruments
Description: This book is about the musical instruments that belong to the string family. Stringed instruments make a sound when their strings vibrate. The strings are bowed, plucked, or struck to make their sound. When they are played the whole string vibrates from one end to the other. The strings don't make much sound on their own. The vibrations they make pass to a thin soundboard underneath, which also vibrates.
