Description: The proposed action is the offering of 540 tracts (3.1 million acres; 1.2 million hectares) located from 86 to 164 statute miles offshore southeast Cape Cod and Nantucket Island, Massachusetts for leasing in accordance with the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act, as amended. The tracts lie in average water depths of 171 to 9,285 feet (52 to 2,830 meters). If implemented, this sale is tentatively scheduled for October, 1982.
