Description: This is a history, overview, comparison, informational, and review guide to video games, more specifically Nintendo games licensed games from the years 1996-2000. the first section introduces parents to video games, a history of the Nintendo company, and some of its rivals and other game systems available. The next section looks at the types of games, such as Adventure, sports, and multiplayer games with a description of each. This is followed by look at the "Entertainment Software Rating Board" ESRB, how it began, an explanation of its rating systems, and an interview with its founder Arthur Pober. Although earlier portions of the book mention many more games, the review section has longer reviews and describes the most popular games for the Nintendo 64, and Game Boy. The last sections of the book have a glossary, listing of most ratings for games released for both systems, a list of websites where parents can get more information, and seven blank pages for parents to write their own 'Notes'.
