Description: Exhibition dedicated to noted LEAR and TGP artist Raúl Anguiano (b.Guadalajara, Mexico 1915-2006) focusing on a scarcely known work done in a period of 8 years in the 1930's, a collection of elaborated compositions of a parallel surreal reality, different from his usual art production of political and proletarian content. The selectioncomprises 45 works that include oils, watercolors, drawings and prints inspired in the Europeansurrealism and cubism movements of the mid-20th century and were exhibited with thecollaboration of Brigita Anguiano, the artist's widow. "None of these sketches can really beconsidered finished works, and, since they survive today as an intact group in his archive,Anguiano appears to had no interest in selling them."--P. 27.
