The first is to describe Tournier to those who have never met him, to present his life story, and to give a brief summary of each of his books... Second, I have tried to identify, organize, and summarize the basic ideas in Tournier's thought... My third purpose... is to give an evaluation of Tournier's life work." - Steven H Propp
