Description: On the basis of a decent work perspective, this report places particular emphasis on how to strengthen the contribution of enterprises to productive and equitable economic and employment growth. It includes a review of contemporary thinking, experiences and emerging good practices in the promotion of enterprises, illustrating how trends and paradigms have evolved in recent times. Emphasis is placed on the need to foster competitive markets and a business environment which facilitates growth along and across value chains, and this is placed in the context of globalization and trade.
