Description: The federally required Transportation Improvement Program, or TIP, is a comprehensive listing of all Bay Area transportation projects that receive federal funds or that are subject to a federally required action, such as a review for impacts on air quality. The TIP sets forth the Metropolitan Transportation Commission's investment priorities for transit and transit-related improvements, highways and roadways, transit, and other surface transportation improvements in the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area.
