Subjects: fiction, Childrens, Christmas
Description: A heart-warming Christmas tale about a young boy who learns the truth about Santa Claus through a journal that was written many years ago. The truth, however, is not what he expected. Walter is your typical eight year old (actually, almost nine) who, while visiting his great grandfather – Grandpa Walt, asks the question thousands of eight year olds ask every year. Is there really a Santa Claus? To Walter’s surprise he finds himself enthralled in a story about a boy his age, who long ago befriended a boy who moved into his small village. A story written in a journal by a boy who found himself surrounded by events he could not explain, by things that seemed beyond the realm of possibility. Things like a talking jack-in-the box, a bag of chocolates that never empties, a secret-keeping necklace and a magical golden key, just to name a few. As the story unfolds Walter begins to wonder about the link between him and the boy and how the events written in a journal, events that happened so long ago, will change his life forever.
