Three complete novels
By Irwin Shaw
Subjects:
Description: Sequel to epic Jordache epic "Rich Man, Poor Man" this one is more sedate, but more lighthearted. I say Irwin, as Shaw wouldn't say Axel, only Jordache! Now you follow Billy across Europe, Wesley across America, discovering the future and the past. And Rudy & Gretchen travelling within to live free like their lost brother Tom. I read this first and was struck by Irwin's lazy style. Then I saw Rich Man, Poor Man TV series & decided, didn't want to read the book. Yet I came across Rich Man, Poor Man, read it. Then I decided I'm never going to watch a TV rendition again! There's lots of loose threads in the 1st book "what could have been" "if only" that Irwin settles in the sequel. I read this 1st then the first book next, and then read both the books in sequence. Then I decided I can't read anything else by Irwin Shaw! What a great writer!
