Copiously indexed and cross-referenced. e.g. got a bottle of Cherry Heering? It' s cross-referenced to p.108 ... from which we learn how to make a Danish Gin Fizz (you need 1/2 oz of Cherry Heering to make it!). In need of an update (my copy says its the 2nd reprint 1981) so what a pity the author has passed on - his style is both humorous & idiosyncratic - and near impossible to replicate. Essential if you are going to a bar (at home or abroad) - or the pub.
