Description: This is a book about being an entrepreneur; what it takes; and what rules you should follow to succeed. There are 12 rules or laws: 1 Don't become an entrepreneur just to make money, but because is what you love. The secret to entrepreneurial success is to decide what you want, make a good plan, and work with all your might to achieve it. 2 Study success rules: you need all the help you can get to navigate business life. Believe in yourself, forget about the past, 'whatever a man think he is'… Everything applies! So, study! 3 Be careful with numbers. Income is important; but many sell a lot and loose money because of miscalculated costs. 4 Keep the focus. Concentrate. Don't try to do 5 things at once: you have a limited amount of time and energy. AND choose wisely: not everything is ‘an opportunity’. Balance your optimism and your precaution. Don't rush. 5 Careful doing business with friends: Money tends to be more powerful than friendship. It’s better a friendship born from business, than business from a friendship. Choose your partners wisely. Good partners are like diamonds: hard to find. Bad partners are like diamonds: tend to be really expensive… 6 Choose employees wisely. Don't just hire your secretary's nephews friend. Be diligent. Interview candidates, check references. They will be THE FACE of your company! 7 Put EVERYTHING in writing. People tend to suffer TSA, temporary selective amnesia: they will only remember whatever is on their best interest. Write it ALL! 8 Control, CONTROL! People have the nasty tendency to steal. Judas, Jesus accountant, did it (John 12.6). If they stole from Jesus, imagine what they would do to you… 9 Learn to communicate, to sell your ideas and yourself. You may be great, but need buyers! Also, learn to shut-up. Don’t talk about your financial troubles, or your bad sales month, or if you broke up with your girlfriend and lost inspiration... People always look for signs of trouble to run away from you. 10 Don't let problems defeat you. 11 Concentrate on finding solutions 12 If you ask for God's help, remember: you still have to do your job. God is not going to fire bad employees, or implement marketing strategies; or control cost and quality. That's your job!
