Description: Tedric the House Mouse Peter Johannes PaXart Publishing (2009) ISBN 9780615295428 Reviewed by Sophia (age 6.75) and Madeline (age 8.5) McElroy for Reader Views (11/09) Sophia: This is a story about a cute and funny mouse. He was also trying to not get caught by Puma the cat. Tedric is very tiny, but so fast! He spent a lot of time outside playing in the trees, seeing birds and bees. This book has many photos of Tedric, Puma and Rico the dog. Sometimes Tedric had some funny dreams about dogs in space and flying saucers full of milk. This is a fun rhyming book to read. I think kids of many ages would like this book. Madeline: This is a whimsical, rhyming picture book about a mouse named Tedric. He lives in a beautiful house he calls his “heart.” He has a great many adventures in the house with Puma the cat and Rico the dog. He loves bouncing around in the bookshelves and running through the fine art. He pretends he is an astronaut on the broomstick. When Tedric goes outside he wants to visit the woods; he has never been the woods before. When he gets there he is so happy because he is in the “land of his dreams.” There over 80 pages full of exciting photos of Tedric’s adventures inside and out in the world! I really enjoyed reading this book, it’s very cute! We both think you should read “Tedric the House Mouse” by Peter Johannes.
