Description: Raised in Athens and educated by some of the greatest tutors in ancient Greece, Alexander III was thrust into a position of kingship after the death of his father. He used cunning strategies and a massive army to dominate the battlefield. Each victory left him with an increasing desire for wealth and fame. By the time he died, Alexander had conquered much of the known world and is known by most historians as Alexander the Great.
