Description: With the collaboration of anthropologists, collectors, writers, historians, researchers, jewelers and other intellectuals the MAP presents this fine edition that contains a detailed study of the various aspects of Mexican folk and popular art. Beautiful book illustrated with full-page color plates of examples of the colorful kaleidoscope of art pieces that reflect the cultural "mestizaje" of the Spanish, Arabian, African, Asian and Pre-Columbian heritage in Mexico. Mediums include: textiles, glass, majolica, pottery, furniture, paper, thin figures, religious imaginary, and other works the MAP has collected since 1934.
