The college freshman's don't book

By G. F. E (A.B.) A Sympathizer

Subjects: College wit and humor, college advice, Anecdotes, College students

Description: A humorous (circa 1910) book of advice for college freshmen given by a graduate or fatherly type figure to the new college freshman. Some of it is of course dated after over 100 years (e.g. "Don't buy a roll-top desk or an iron safe during your first year" ... "Don't carry a cane"), but most of it is still applicable to the college freshman of the 21st century ("Don't forget to attend a large percent of your lectures" ... "Don't hesitate to hear other people's opinions"). Illustrated with ink block sketches. The book is a period piece - enjoyable for those who like history and want some insight into the American college experience of the early 20th century.
